This painting is from a picture my brother in law Steve took on there vacation to Venice. It was a wonderful photo and a joy to paint it. It is nice to have such talented photographers in the family. This acrylic on canvas painting is 40in.x42in.

Jan, I love you artwork! I'm glad you have this blog. I will look forward to seeing more of your work.
Yay Jan! I look forward to seeing more of your work on here and in person. I'm so glad you got to do that show in Freeport, that was great. I hope you get more opportunities like that soon!
I am a visual Artist. Although I get so busy being a mom that I forget this fact. This year my youngest child starts school, and I'm hoping to spend time completing projects that are somewhere in the back of my mind. I also hope to create wonderful new things.
I have been drawing, painting, sculpting for over 20 yrs. Every project for me is personal and takes a little part of me with it as I picture it hanging on someones wall, sittng on their table, or displayed in a place of honor in their home. Over the years I find that most of my projects (other than school assingments) have been custom work made specifically for the person or family. This kind of work has always suited me as each piece of art work I do is as unique as the person it is for.
